Germany’s Martin Kaymer has won his first major, after beating American Bubba Watson in playoff at the Whistling Straits golf course in Wisconsin.

South African golfer Louis Oosthuizen has won the 150th edition of the Open Championship.
“Louis”, whose real name is Lodewicus Theodorus Oosthuizen, played solidly throughout the tournament at St.Andrews, and won quite comfortably in the end. Briton Lee Westwood came closest, but ended seven strokes behind the superbly playing South African.

After play was suspended because of strong winds earlier today, the organizers say play will resume at about 3.45 pm.
South African Louis Oosthuizen is the current clubhouse leader at 12-under-par. He is more than likely happy to have finished his second round before the stronger winds came through.

Play has been temporarily suspended at the Open Championship on Friday afternoon because of unplayable conditions.
Strong winds forced the players at the Old Course at St.Andrews to mark their balls and walk back to the clubhouse. Balls were moving on the greens due to gusts.
